Experience
I taught English and Spanish at Maumee High School for 32 years. I retired from the classroom in 2022. I now am a content and instructional specialist at WGTE Public Media. I have tutored many students in English, Spanish and ACT/SAT test preparation in the evenings and during the summers. I enjoy being able to share my love for reading and writing in both languages, and I love being able to work one on one with students. I have been recognized by The Toledo Blade and BCSN with Teacher of the Month awards. I have served on the Metroparks' Education Advisory Board and received their Froggy award. I advised student groups such as student council and National Honor Society, and I coordinated my high school's freshman transition program, Link Crew.
